Who are truly the best Shopify agencies in France? 10 agencies compared and rated out of 20: expertise, certifications, portfolio, reviews, strategy. A transparent ranking, signed by e-merchants who manage their own brands.

Meilleures agences Shopify : le top 10 (2026)

Ranking updated on June 10, 2026.

Are you looking for the best Shopify agency to create, redesign, or boost your store? Our 2026 verdict can be summarized in one sentence: Stellar Projects, Lobstter, and Galadrim form the French top three, each excelling in a different area: brand strategy and AI for the first, large Shopify Plus accounts for the second, and technical engineering for the third.

French e-commerce is experiencing sustained growth, with an increase of over 30% in recent years. In this context, choosing the right Shopify agency is not just a technical matter: it's a strategic decision that can make the difference between a store that survives and a brand that thrives. We analyzed the French ecosystem, spoke with e-merchants, and scrutinized dozens of online projects to build a transparent comparison, rated out of 20, of the best Shopify agencies in France.

Transparency: This comparison includes Stellar Projects, our own company, at rank 1, because we meet the objective criteria we have defined. We have chosen transparency over hypocrisy: our experience as entrepreneurs and e-merchants (Superbon, sold to SPRiNG in 2022, and Cabania, over €100,000 monthly revenue) legitimately places us in this panorama. It's up to you to judge whether our approach matches your ambitions.

“Stellar is a great encounter; they've been by our side for 2 years in the development and management of our Shopify e-commerce site. In addition to being responsive and friendly, the teams quickly demonstrated their complete mastery of e-commerce topics.”

Fabien Lavigne, CMO of Angell

Our selection methodology

Each company in this comparison was evaluated based on five criteria, each scored out of 4 points, for an overall score out of 20:

  • Technical expertise: demonstrated capability on complex projects (custom developments, ERP/CRM/PIM integrations, Shopify Plus)
  • Official certifications: Shopify Partner, Expert, or Plus Partner statuses, verified and not merely declared
  • Portfolio: quality, diversity, and scope of online achievements
  • Client reviews: verifiable feedback, named testimonials, market reputation
  • Strategic support: ability to advise beyond going live, including now on AI visibility (SEO and GEO)

We also took into account the sectoral specialization, marketing approach, and long-term vision of each company. The scores reflect our market interpretation in June 2026: they are editorial, reasoned, and assumed.

Top 10 best Shopify agencies in France

1. Stellar Projects, the partner for ambitious brands

Stellar Projects positions itself at the intersection of three complementary professions: a certified Shopify Plus and AI agency, a brand creation studio, and authors of the book STELLAR™ Method (available on Amazon). This triple role is rare in the French landscape and radically changes how the team approaches each project.

This company does not position itself as just another service provider that creates e-commerce sites from a Parisian office without understanding the realities on the ground. Its founders are entrepreneurs and e-merchants themselves: they launched Superbon, a solid cosmetics brand developed and then sold to SPRiNG in 2022, and today they manage Cabania, a cabin bed brand that generates over 100,000 euros in monthly revenue since 2025.

This dual role changes everything. When they optimize a conversion funnel, they know what every lost percentage point means. When they deploy a CRM strategy, they understand the importance of lifetime value because they calculate it every month for their own brands. Their expertise doesn't just come from certifications: it comes from nights spent analyzing Google Analytics reports, failed A/B tests, and campaigns that exploded the counters.

Their main strength lies in comprehensive strategic support. Their clients benefit from a 360° vision: SEO strategy thought out from the design stage, advanced CRM integration with Klaviyo or Omnisend, growth marketing based on real data, and long-term support. They are particularly proficient in complex migrations to Shopify or Shopify Plus, strategic redesigns that reposition a brand, and ambitious launches that require flawless coordination between branding, tech, and acquisition.

Based in Paris, they operate throughout France with an international team bringing together native English, French, and Dutch-speaking talents. This diversity allows them to support brands in their international development, a significant asset when you consider that 40% of their clients' revenue often comes from exports.

The brand creation studio dimension distinguishes Stellar Projects from purely technical structures. The team supports founders on visual identity, positioning, naming, and brand strategy, in coherence with the e-commerce dimension. This systemic approach is formalized in their book Creating your brand in the AI era, which presents the STELLAR™ Method in seven pillars (System, Traction, Execution, Leverage, Learning, Adaptation, Resilience).

Score: 18/20. Ideal for: growth-phase brands seeking a true strategic partner, redesigns that reposition a brand, demanding entrepreneurs who want tailor-made solutions designed for performance.

2. Lobstter

Lobstter has established itself as a benchmark in the French landscape of specialized service providers. Their strength? Solid technical mastery coupled with a creative approach that appeals to lifestyle brands. Based in the South of France, they have developed particular expertise in fashion and accessory brands, with a portfolio that showcases visually impactful achievements. Their team advocates a collaborative and transparent approach, making them a relevant choice for brands looking for an attentive partner rather than a simple executor.

Score: 17.5/20. Ideal for: large accounts and established brands on Shopify Plus, B2B projects, and ERP/PIM/WMS integrations.

3. Galadrim

Galadrim is a Shopify Plus partner that has established itself among the French leaders for projects with a strong technical component. This Parisian company, also present in Lyon and Nantes, supports more than 600 brands with particular expertise in custom developments, complex system integrations (ERP, CRM, PIM), and headless architectures. Its founders, graduates of École Polytechnique and leading engineering schools, bring a technical rigor that appeals to prestigious brands. Their portfolio speaks for itself: Clarins, Delsey, The Bradery, Typology, Showroomprivé. If your project involves advanced custom functionalities (product diagnostics, complex subscriptions, multi-market multi-currency), or if you are considering migrating from Magento to Shopify Plus, their expertise will be a major asset.

Score: 17/20. Ideal for: e-commerce engineering projects, headless commerce, and migrations from legacy platforms.

4. Axome

Axome focuses on pure technical expertise. This Parisian company excels in projects requiring custom developments and complex integrations. If you need to connect your store to a specific ERP, create custom functionalities, or manage large product catalogs, their team of certified developers will be there to help. Their approach is more technical than artistic, which perfectly suits B2B brands or players with specific functional needs.

Score: 16.5/20. Ideal for: large catalogs, B2B, and demanding ERP integrations.

5. Pikka

Pikka has built its reputation on dual expertise: Shopify and Webflow. This versatility allows them to support brands across their entire digital ecosystem, not just the e-commerce part. Their strength lies in brand consistency: they consider the global experience, from the institutional site to the online store. This is a major asset for brands launching their digital activity from scratch and wanting a single partner capable of managing everything.

Score: 16/20. Ideal for: brand launches that want a coherent digital ecosystem from day one.

6. W3lead

W3lead positions itself in the segment of large companies and established brands migrating to Shopify Plus. Their corporate DNA allows them to effectively communicate with the technical departments of large organizations and manage the complex validation processes specific to major companies. If you are a recognized brand looking to modernize your e-commerce infrastructure, their experience on large-scale projects will be a valuable asset.

Score: 15.5/20. Ideal for: established brands with corporate validation processes.

7. Colorz

Colorz specializes in the beauty and wellness industry. This sectoral focus has allowed them to develop a deep understanding of the specific challenges in these markets: managing complex formulas, showcasing products sensorially, and storytelling around ingredients. Their portfolio in these verticals demonstrates true business expertise that goes beyond mere technique.

Score: 15/20. Ideal for: beauty and wellness brands looking for strong creative direction.

8. Eskimoz

Eskimoz offers a 360° approach that goes far beyond store creation. This full-service group combines Shopify expertise with skills in natural and paid referencing. For brands looking for a partner capable of managing both site design and post-launch acquisition campaigns, this is a consistent option. Their size allows them to mobilize dedicated teams for large-scale projects.

Score: 14.5/20. Ideal for: brands that prioritize acquisition (SEO, SEA, Social Ads) as much as the site itself.

9. Novaway

Novaway distinguishes itself with a performance and data-oriented approach. This Lille-based company emphasizes continuous measurement and optimization. Their methodology relies on regular testing, in-depth analysis of user behavior, and iterative adjustments. If you are focused on continuous improvement rather than a "deliver and see" approach, their data-driven culture will resonate with your expectations.

Score: 14/20. Ideal for: existing stores looking to industrialize their testing and CRO.

10. Blackbird

Blackbird closes this top 10 with a proposal focused on agility and execution speed. This young company favors short cycles and rapid launches, which appeals to startups and entrepreneurs who want to test a market without getting bogged down in months of development. Their lean approach and flexibility make them a relevant choice for projects that require responsiveness more than formalized processes.

Score: 13/20. Ideal for: MVPs and rapid launches with controlled budgets.

What has changed in this ranking in 2026

Three major developments structure this edition. First, we replaced stars with a score out of 20, criterion by criterion, to make the evaluations clearer and more comparable. Second, we verified the official partner statuses of each company rather than relying on the mentions displayed on their websites: the Shopify Partner label is sometimes claimed improperly.

Finally, and this is the most important change: AI and GEO maturity now factors into the evaluation of strategic support. In 2026, a growing proportion of shopping journeys begin in ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini. An e-commerce partner who doesn't know how to make your brand visible in AI responses is setting you up for future obsolescence. At Stellar Projects, we measure this challenge directly on our own brands and our clients' accounts, and few market players have currently structured a serious offering in this area.

How to choose among the best Shopify agencies?

Selecting your partner from this top 10 list is not something to be done lightly. Beyond technical skills, several dimensions deserve your attention. First, human chemistry: you will be collaborating closely for weeks, or even months. An initial exchange should allow you to gauge if there is a good rapport, if the team understands your challenges without you having to detail everything.

Next, strategic vision. A good service provider doesn't just execute your brief: they challenge your assumptions, propose alternatives, and help you structure your thinking. If, during the first meeting, the interlocutor agrees to everything without asking questions, be wary. E-commerce is complex, and a true expert should immediately identify areas of concern or opportunities you hadn't considered.

Also, look at their own website. A provider unable to create a compelling experience for themselves will struggle to do so for you. Analyze their blog: do they regularly publish content that demonstrates their expertise? Do they share concrete feedback? The quality of their communication often reveals their level of involvement.

Finally, ask for verifiable references and contact them. Former clients are generally honest about their provider's strengths and weaknesses. You will discover elements that are not on any website: responsiveness in case of problems, ability to meet deadlines, post-delivery support. To structure your thinking step-by-step, our complete guide to choosing your Shopify partner details the questions to ask and the pitfalls to avoid.

One criterion consistently appears on shortlists: the "Shopify Partner" status displayed by providers. This should not be confused with a guarantee of quality. To understand the true meaning of Shopify Partner status and the difference from Shopify Expert and Shopify Plus Partner, our guide details the three labels, the real admission criteria, and the average daily rates in France in 2026.

Shopify Plus vs Shopify Standard: what's the difference?

The distinction between these two categories is not just a matter of price. Shopify Plus represents the enterprise version of the platform, with advanced features that require specific expertise. Shopify Plus certified providers master tools like Flow for automation, customizable checkouts, complex multi-store architectures, and advanced ERP integrations.

Specifically, if your brand generates several hundred thousand euros in monthly revenue, if you need sophisticated automation workflows, or if you anticipate rapid growth that will require scalability, a Shopify Plus specialized provider will be more relevant. They will be able to anticipate the needs of a rapidly growing structure and avoid technical pitfalls that hinder scaling.

Conversely, for a brand launch, an MVP to validate, or a store with standard needs, a classic Shopify provider will be more than sufficient. You will benefit from more accessible prices and an approach that better matches your stage of development. The difference between Shopify Plus and Shopify Standard is measured across 15 operational criteria (Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, Wholesale B2B, Organization Admin, Launchpad, unlimited API, 99.98% SLA). For a criterion-by-criterion comparison table, read our complete guide to deciding between Plus and Advanced.

The best Shopify agencies by city

Geographical location still greatly influences the choice of a provider, even in the age of widespread remote work. If you are based in Île-de-France, working with a Parisian firm facilitates physical meetings, which are essential during framing phases or mockup validation. The concentration of providers in the capital also offers a wider choice and a competition that raises standards.

Lyon is the second French hub in terms of density of digital providers. The city attracts many tech and creative talents, and several Lyon-based players specializing in Shopify have developed solid expertise. The Lyon advantage? Generally more accessible rates than in Paris for an equivalent quality of service, and geographical proximity to Italy and Switzerland, which facilitates international projects to these markets.

Other cities are seeing competent firms emerge: Bordeaux, Lille, Nantes, Toulouse. The market is gradually decentralizing, which is good news for regional e-merchants. Brand based in Pays de la Loire? Our page dedicated to Nantes explains our hybrid operating mode and the specificities of regional support.

Beyond choice: success factors

Even the best provider in France will not be able to compensate for a fuzzy positioning, a flawed product offering, or a lack of acquisition strategy. E-commerce is an ecosystem where technology represents only one piece of the puzzle. Before starting your search, make sure you have clarified your value proposition, precisely identified your targets, and thought about your business model.

Also, think about post-launch. Too many brands focus exclusively on the website and neglect the acquisition strategy. A beautifully designed site without qualified traffic generates no sales. Integrate digital marketing considerations from the outset, whether through SEO, paid advertising, partnerships, or influence. The ideal? Choose a partner who can also support you on these post-launch dimensions.

The success of an e-commerce project relies on a virtuous triangle: a desirable product, a fluid user experience, and an effective acquisition strategy. Your provider will primarily work on the second pillar, but the best ones will also challenge you on the other two. To identify other digital marketing partners (SEO, SEA, social media, CRM), consider consulting a specialized digital marketing directory like AddConnect.

FAQ: choosing your Shopify provider

What is the best Shopify agency in France in 2026?

According to our comparative rating out of 20, the top three for 2026 are Stellar Projects (18/20, brand strategy and AI), Lobstter (17.5/20, large Shopify Plus accounts), and Galadrim (17/20, technical engineering). However, the "best" depends on your project: size, budget, sector, and need for strategic support.

How much does a service with a Shopify specialized firm cost?

The range is wide: from 5,000 euros for a basic site with a minimally customized template, to 50,000 euros and more for a Shopify Plus store with custom developments, complex integrations, and a fully custom design. Be wary of abnormally low quotes: they often hide approximations that will cost you dearly in later optimizations.

What is the average duration of a Shopify project?

Allow a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks for a standard site, and easily 3 to 6 months for a major project with a complete visual identity redesign, data migration, custom developments, and launch strategy. Deadlines also depend on your responsiveness to validating intermediate deliverables.

Is it mandatory to have a Shopify Partner certified provider?

Certifications attest to a level of competence validated by the platform itself. It is a guarantee of seriousness, but it is not the only criterion. Some excellent providers do not have official certification but boast an impeccable portfolio. Consider it a plus, not an absolute prerequisite.

Agency or freelance: what to choose for your Shopify store?

A freelancer is suitable for simple projects and tight budgets; a structured team is necessary when the project combines technical aspects, design, and strategy. We have dedicated a complete guide to this agency or freelance dilemma with a decision table based on your situation.

Conclusion: how to use this comparison

Choosing the best Shopify agency for your project is a demanding exercise that requires time and reflection. This top 10 provides an overview of French players who have proven themselves, each with their specificities and strengths. Your final decision will depend on your specific challenges, your budget, your location, but most importantly, on the quality of contact you develop with the teams you meet.

Do not hesitate to consult several providers, compare their approaches, and ask precise questions about their methodology and references. A good partner will not try to sell you at any cost: they will assess with you if the match is relevant and will direct you elsewhere if necessary. This initial honesty is often the sign of a healthy and lasting partnership.

This comparison of the best Shopify agencies is regularly updated by the Stellar Projects team based on new achievements and market feedback. French e-commerce has a bright future: the brands that succeed will be those that have surrounded themselves with the right partners at the right time.
